It's been 9 months since my order was to be shipped. Goodsmile was able to get me my order quickly and even met me half way on a quicker shipping option in SUMMER 2020, mandarake also shipped to me quickly after order confirmation and received within a month of ordering in FALL 2020. Still waiting for a $1000+ order I paid for in full back in April 2020. Absolutely a freaking joke that we are all waiting this long.

2.5 months just to appear in Vladivostok. Well, at least they were not lost. Today my order from SolarisJapan was shipped - let's see how long will it take and will it be faster than AmiAmi. My AmiAmi orders were shipped JAN 18

How could this happen to me?( Now more than 8 shipped packages that swim towards me for more than 3 months already. And plus I lost a lot of money (the equivalent of 1 average scale figure actually) on stupid back and forth transactions. Because AmiAmi couldn't just return me the difference between EMS and surface they had to refund my 8 orders in full and then send a new invoice resulting in me losing money with every currency exchange with every transaction.

This has been a difficult year for all of us, but AmiAmi decided to smooth things over at the expense of their loyal customers. Such a sad and disappointing turn of events.

I agree, same with me, I lost some money too.
AmiAmi should've upgraded all existing orders to DHL at their expense, or contract a mail forwarder.
Now the packages are moving, yes, but there is still a question - in what condition they will arrive, after months sitting in docks and sailing on ships, surrounded by moisture and salt.

In the case that your parcel is damaged or lost, our store will compensate both the merchandise price and shipping cost in full**.

If your order was upgraded to Surface Mail (Premium) you should've received an email with the damaged good policy attached.
I will ask my mail carrier to inspect the package with me and If there is any issues with my order being damaged I will ask them to mark my parcel as damaged, then I will ask for full compensation from amiami.

Mine 2 orders were shipped Dec 19 and Dec 20 and got Dispatch from outward office of exchange status on Dec 19 and Dec 22. And no movement since then. More than 2.5 months to get from Japan to Russia? Did they gave them to courier to swim by themself?

About 2-3 weeks ago, there were talks that ships couldn't make port for a while due to bad weather, there's a long line of ships now, loading and unloading cargo as fast as they can, and the ships don't really stop coming. Usually, the time between "Dispatched from Japan" and "Arrived at Russia" for Surface is 1-3 months, and it's not AmiAmi's fault; if there is anyone to blame (weather, sea, and safety measures aside), it would be Japan Post, because their system is organised in such a way that ships to Russia sail from Tokyo Bay, thus they have to sail all the way around Japan ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(Also, after the arrival, it's 1-5 days for customs, 5-12 days to get from customs to in-country delivery, and then however long it takes for a train from Vladivostok to get to your home.)

Update for folks following this thread - I picked up one of my orders today (March 9, 2021). It arrived safe and undamaged.
It was shipped from Japan on December 15, 2020 to Russia using "Surface Parcel" method.

Reading comment above - it's weird that stuff shipped on December 19 and 20 (only 4-5 days after my package) didn't come yet. I would have assumed it should be in one batch. Strange logistics.

Now I'm waiting for stuff shipped in January..

edit: another package showed up in Russia, it was sent on Jan 18
