Quick summary
- Japan Post has temporarily suspended acceptance of most parcels containing goods to the United States (effective Aug 27, 2025). This also affects Guam and Puerto Rico.
- Preorders to US addresses are still accepted. New orders for in-stock and pre-owned items to US addresses are temporarily unavailable.
- When shipping resumes, import duties may apply to all mailed goods; USPS/CBP typically collect duties from the recipient. Delivery may take longer than usual.
Ordering and availability
- Preorders: Accepted as usual; shipment timing depends on when shipping options become available.
- In-stock and pre-owned items: Temporarily unavailable for US addresses. If you change the shipping address to a country where shipping is available, in-stock/pre-owned items become available per normal rules.
Modifying orders (combine, change address, etc.)
- You can modify orders from My Account, but you may see an error (“item not available for your country”) when the order includes in-stock/pre-owned items for the US.

- We generally recommend waiting until shipping resumes before making changes, so you can see which items are ready to ship at that time.
Shipped orders: will they be returned or delayed?
- We cannot guarantee outcomes, but delivery is expected if the recipient provides correct address/contacts and promptly pays any duties/fees requested by USPS/CBP. Additional processing may cause delays.
- If a parcel is returned to us, we will contact you with options (reshipment when possible or a refund of the item price; original shipping is non-refundable).
About the USD 100 “gift” limit
- The USD 100 gift provision applies to gifts between private individuals. Store purchases are commercial shipments and do not qualify as gifts. We must declare accurate values, descriptions, and country of origin.
Changing your shipping address to another country
- Unpaid orders: You can update the shipping address from your account.
- Invoiced or paid orders: Please contact Customer Support and we will help update the address.
- We do not ship to forwarding companies within Japan. You may use a forwarding company outside Japan, but we cannot guarantee their ability to deliver to US addresses under current conditions.
Other shipping methods (couriers)
- We are preparing alternative, non-postal options, but no start date is confirmed yet. We will email affected customers when we can offer a change.
- If you did not receive a follow-up email yet about changing shipping methods, we are notifying in phases. For urgent cases, please contact Customer Support.
