Notice regarding GST import tax for New Zealand

Thank you for using AmiAmi.

 

This is a notification regarding changes to the import procedures of orders shipped to New Zealand.

 

Starting from December 1st 2019, customers will be required to pay for the import tax ahead of time, and therefore our store will include the GST tax in our payment requests. The benefits of this will be that you no longer will be required to pay import tax for receiving your packages, which should also make the customs check procedure easier and slightly faster.

 

*Note: For items valued above 1000 NZD you will still be required to pay import tax directly to the customs office in your country, so our store will not charge GST tax for items valued more than 1000 NZD.

The way that you calculate the GST tax is as follows:

GST tax = 15% of (total merchandise price + shipping cost)

Starting from December 1st, all payment requests will include details about the GST tax.
