Starting April 14 2026, DHL shipping charges for AmiAmi orders may change on a weekly basis due to fluctuations in fuel surcharge rates.
Because of this, DHL shipping costs may vary more often than before, and the shipping charge for the same items and destination may differ depending on when the payment request is issued.
Below are the key points regarding how DHL shipping charges are applied.
1. Why can DHL shipping charges change from week to week?
DHL shipping charges are affected by fuel surcharge rates, which are currently updated weekly.
As a result, DHL shipping costs for customer orders may also change on a weekly basis.
If DHL changes its surcharge update schedule in the future, applicable shipping charges will follow the official update schedule in effect at that time.
2. When is the final DHL shipping charge decided?
The final DHL shipping charge is determined at the time the payment request is issued.
For the most accurate amount, please check:
- your payment request email
- the shipping charge shown on the payment page
3. Can the shipping charge differ even for the same order contents?
Yes.
Because the applicable DHL shipping charge depends on the rate in effect when the payment request is issued, the shipping charge may differ even if:
- the items are the same
- the shipping destination is the same
- the package conditions are otherwise unchanged
4. Are shipping estimates guaranteed?
No.
Any shipping estimate we provide is only valid at the time it is calculated, and only within the same applicable rate period.
If the rate changes after the estimate is provided, the final DHL shipping charge may also change.
5. What happens if I change my order after receiving a payment request?
If an order is changed after a payment request has already been issued, the order will need to be recalculated and a new payment request may be issued.
In that case, the DHL shipping charge will be based on the current applicable rate at the time of re-invoicing.
Because of this, the shipping charge on the new payment request may be different from the amount shown previously.
6. Can a previous DHL shipping rate be kept after the rate changes?
No.
Once the applicable rate has changed, we are unable to apply a previous rate to a newly issued or reissued payment request.
This includes cases where an order is modified and must be invoiced again after the rate has changed.
7. Can AmiAmi adjust invoice timing around rate changes?
No.
Payment requests are issued according to our normal operational workflow.
We are unable to delay or accelerate payment requests in order to match a particular DHL fuel surcharge rate.
8. What if I pay before a rate change, but my order ships later?
If payment has already been completed, the amount already paid will not be changed even if the DHL rate changes before the order is shipped.
The order will be shipped based on the amount already paid.
9. Which orders does this apply to?
This applies to all countries and destinations where DHL shipping is available through AmiAmi.
