Update (2024-12-24): Shipments through Japan Post is scheduled to resume in mid January 2025
We would like to inform our Canadian customers of the ongoing Canada Post strike, which is causing significant disruptions to mail services across the country. Due to this strike, Japan Post has temporarily suspended all shipping methods to Canada for the foreseeable future. This suspension affects all postal shipment options, including EMS, Air, and Surface Parcel.
While the situation remains uncertain, we expect that shipping delays may continue for some time even after Canada Post resumes normal operations. Therefore, we recommend that customers consider the following information and take appropriate actions:
Recommended Shipping Option: DHL
Until Japan Post is able to resume shipments to Canada, we are only able to offer DHL as the shipping method for orders to Canada. DHL offers reliable and fast shipping services during this period.
Please note the following:
- DHL requires correctly formatted addresses and cannot deliver to PO Box addresses. Customers who typically use PO Box addresses will need to update their shipping information to avoid any delivery issues.
- Be sure to double-check your shipping address before placing your order to ensure it meets DHL's requirements.
If you are unsure whether your address is acceptable for DHL delivery, please contact our customer support team for assistance.
Placing New Orders
- Available Shipping Methods: During the suspension of Japan Post services, we will only invoice orders with DHL as the available shipping method.
-
Payment Restrictions: We are unable to accept payments for suspended shipping methods (e.g., EMS, Air, Surface) with the intent of holding the paid order until the strike ends.
- This means that orders selecting a suspended shipping method will automatically be updated to DHL when invoiced.
- We cannot guarantee when Japan Post services will resume, and we are unable to hold paid orders indefinitely.
Existing Orders Placed Before the Suspension
-
Orders Already Invoiced or Paid:
- For orders that were invoiced or paid before the suspension began, we will hold these orders until Japan Post resumes shipping to Canada.
- If you prefer to receive your order sooner, we can assist you in switching to DHL shipping.
- Please contact our customer support team to request this change.
- We will refund your original payment, update your order to use DHL, and send a new payment request reflecting the DHL shipping costs.
-
On-Hold Orders:
- We will reach out to customers with orders currently on hold if any further action is needed.
- If you choose to wait for Japan Post services to resume, please be aware that we do not have an estimated date for when shipping will recommence, and delays should be expected even after the strike ends.
Review Your Orders and Take Action as Necessary
We encourage our customers to:
-
Check Your Current Orders:
- Review any pending orders to determine if switching to DHL shipping is appropriate for your needs.
- If you have orders awaiting payment with suspended shipping methods, please consider updating them to DHL to avoid indefinite delays.
-
Consider Cancellations if Necessary:
- If you believe you will not be able to receive your order due to the shipping suspension, please review our Cancellation Policy.
- Cancel eligible orders early to avoid potential issues later.
By acting promptly, you can help ensure the smooth processing of your orders during this period.
