*2023-12-04 Update: GST rate change from 8% to 9%, starting January 2024
Thank you for using AmiAmi.
This is a notification regarding changes to the import procedures of orders being shipped to Singapore.
Starting from March 1st 2023, customers will be required to pay for the import tax ahead of time, and therefore our store will include the GST tax in the payment requests. The benefits of this will be that you no longer will be required to pay import tax when receiving your packages, which should also make the customs check procedures easier and slightly faster.
*Note: For items valued above 400 SGD you will still be required to pay import tax directly to the customs office in your country, so our store will not charge GST tax for items valued more than 400 SGD.
The GST tax is determined at the time the order is invoiced. To confirm the current exchange rate, please use the following link: https://www.reuters.com/markets/quote/SGDJPY=X/
The way that you calculate the GST tax is as follows:
GST tax = 9% of (total merchandise price + shipping cost)
Starting from March 1st, all payment requests will include details about the GST tax.
