This is a summary of the current situation for available and suspended shipping methods to various countries and regions. If your country is not listed in the table below, then please check each section for DHL and Japan Post below for more details.
When selecting shipping methods for your orders, please make sure to select a shipping method that is available for your country/region. If you select an unavailable shipping method, then we will not be able to ship your order after confirming your payment, and your order will instead be placed on hold for shipment until the shipping method becomes available again.

Regarding DHL shipping
DHL has announced a few localized stoppages, but for most part is processed as normal with some delays depending on your region.
*NOTE: There may be some countries to which we cannot ship via DHL. Please contact us via chat or by submitting a request by clicking "Submit a Request" above if you are unsure.
Regarding Japan Post shipping (EMS/Air/SAL)
The available shipping methods vary by country, please check your country in our full country list to see what shipping methods that are currently available for your country.
*All SAL shipments has been temporarily suspended.
*You will no longer be able to select these shipping methods in the following cases:
EMS/Air: Temporarily disabled as a shipping option for countries where alternatives has been prepared.
SAL: Temporarily disabled as a shipping option for countries with available shipping methods.

Hello juan teran,
For Peru we can see that currently DHL is the only available option that can be shipped right now. For SAL and our other shipping methods, we will proceed with shipping your orders as soon as we are able to.
There has not been any estimates for when shipments will resume to your country.
Sorry, but I don't understand your explanation about Surface. Of course Russian Post (as USPS in the US) will carry parcel on territory of Russia. And Surface is work for Russia as some other japan shops use it now.

We are sorry if our previous reply has been confusing. We were referring to the particular shipping method "Surface Mail (Premium)" that is currently in trial for the United States. This shipping method can only be used for the United States, due to the reliance on USPS.
Options that can be used for other countries/regions is currently being reviewed, and we will make an announcement once more information is available.
Hello, I placed an order a few months back and used Air Mail for delivery. Any update on when that service will be available in the United States again?
I ordered something late August and have it shipped by Air to Canada and and was notified that it has left Japan at September 5. It's been 10 days since then and my package has not arrived. I'm wondering if this is normal with the ongoing shipping restrictions.

There has not yet been any announcements regarding when Air mail shipping will resume for the United States.
For the United States, we are currently preparing the new shipping method "Surface Mail (Premium)", and orders that are currently on hold for shipment due to suspended shipping methods, will be scheduled to be shipped by this shipping method. Once we reach your order, you should receive an email notification from our store with more information.

Lately, average shipping times for Canada seem to be around 2 weeks, but some packages may be delayed a little longer, for example delays at the customs check and local delays due to COVID-19.

Hello, I placed an order a few months back and just got billed for EMS for delivery. Is there any update on when that service will be available in the United States again? Will my order be shipped by "Surface Mail (Premium)" or will I have to wait until EMS resumes shipping to the United States?

I've been waiting for two orders since June.
I'm getting parcels from USA and China just fine, this is just silly that I can't get stuff from Japan.
I'm willing to upgrade to DHL (I don't think it costs more than EMS), or downgrade to anything registered and trackable.

I think about 1 moth ago it was reported that Surface mail for the majority of countries is under review. Do you have any news about it? I think you had enough time to introduce it at least for several countries/regions. Your clients are waiting for your answer.

Well, I don't see any other relevant options for our country. If, of course, they introduce Surface mail for most countries RIGHT NOW, then perfectly. Just need to have time to buy gifts for the New Year.
And most likely that Japan will not resume airmail for most countries until at least the summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Hi. I had a pre-order for Argentina with SAL small packet. However I've asked the shipping to be updated to my proxy's address in the US upon hearing of the shipping problems. But after asking for the update I heard shipping to the US is having the same problems. But I've read they are enabling something called surface mail premium.
Will this method be available for Argentina also or just the US? Which of either country should I use to receive my order as soon as possible without using an expensive method such as DHL?
Well I'm going on 6 months now waiting for my order to be shipped. Can someone explain why AmiAmi can't ship adult products via DHL? It's definitely not something on DHL's end, as J-list allows you to do so, so I don't understand.
Bvault101, from my experience, DHL is stricter with adult products. A few months ago, I had a couple of R-18 doujinshi from Mandarake shipped via DHL (because it was cheaper), but my shipment was confiscated by customs, and of course, I never received that shipment, so it was money wasted. So lesson learnt - never ship R-18 doujinshi via DHL.
I can't speak for Amiami on this, but maybe Amiami doesn't want to risk shipments with adult products being confiscated by DHL customs. I don't know about this for sure, but maybe they don't want to be a blacklisted shipper? Or maybe they don't want their customers to have spent money on shipments that will not get to them?

I currently live in Oirase in Aomori prefecture, when I try to place an order it says that the items I am ordering is not available in the country I've selected. Has Amiami suspended domestic shipments as well due to COVID?
Artimise Flare, since you live in Japan, perhaps it would be better if you ordered through Amiami’s Japanese website? They definitely are able to ship domestically through there.

I live in Russia and I ordered from China and Netherlands and got my packages. What's wrong with you? You ask so much money for shipping and here I am waiting for almost half a year for a nendoroid. Why are you acting as if AmiAmi can control Japan Post? It's literally out of their hands. I'm in the U.S still waiting on a number of packages.

Domestic shipping is currently processed as normal.
So if you are not able to place an order for a particular item, then it is likely that the item is not eligible for shipment to Japanese addresses.
Please contact our support and provide the shop code for the item if you wish to confirm any more details.
Please provide surface mail to Australia.
